Meet Lissette

Hi, I’m Lissette, the founder and creator of LB Moda Canina, a small pet fashion business born from my love of dogs, of fashion, and of the special connection we share with our pets.

I grew up with a love for creativity and fashion, and I studied Fashion Design at FIDM, graduating in 2003. Over the years I always dreamed of creating something of my own: something beautiful, meaningful, and connected to the things I love.

Then came the idea for LB Moda Canina.

Where my story began

My love for dogs has always been a big part of who I am. To me, dogs are not simply pets. They are family. They are there through our happiest moments, our difficult days, and all the little moments in between.

Today I’m proud to call San Diego home, where I live with my family and my two beloved dogs, Mimi and Benito. They are a huge part of the inspiration behind my brand.

From a dream to a small business

LB Moda Canina started with a simple question:

Why can’t pets and their people coordinate in style?

I wanted to create beautiful pieces that celebrate the bond between pets and their owners. Not matching for the sake of matching, but a real feeling of connection.

Every piece is designed with love, attention to detail, and the belief that your pet deserves to be part of your style and your special moments.

Why everything comes in pairs

Attention to detail starts with the fabric. I choose fabrics that hold up: woven jacquard, cotton, denim, velvet. Nothing printed on top that fades by the third wash. Every stitch, button and closure is there to last.

I buy a fabric and work it until it is gone. Out of that same bolt come the dog’s bandana, the shirt, the scrunchie and the pocket tee. That is why the pieces genuinely match instead of nearly matching, and it is why when a fabric is finished, it is finished.

LB Moda Canina is about connection. It is about celebrating the relationship between you and your dog through fashion, creativity, and the little details that make your bond special.
