“May we never lack the thread to embroider our dreams.”
There is no mass production here. It is me, Lissette, designing and sewing every garment by hand, in San Diego, one at a time.
I started for a simple reason: your best friend is the heart of every adventure, and deserves to look the way they make you feel. A dog is not just company. They have an unusual sensitivity, noticing sadness before anyone else does, and with one gesture or just their presence they become the safest place there is.
That is why each accessory is more than fabric and design. I choose fabrics that hold up: woven jacquard, cotton, denim, velvet. Nothing printed on top that fades by the third wash. Every stitch, button and closure is there to last.
Why everything comes in pairs
I buy a fabric and work it until it is gone. Out of that same bolt come the dog’s bandana, the shirt, the scrunchie and the pocket tee. That is why the pieces genuinely match instead of nearly matching, and it is why when a fabric is finished, it is finished.
Where this is going
I want Moda Canina to be the brand people in the United States and Latin America go to for pet fashion: a community where the dog is part of how their person lives and dresses, not a prop brought out for a photograph.
Thank you for letting me be part of the story between you and your companion.
