Dog shirts

Collared shirts with a front Velcro closure, so nobody has to push a leg through a sleeve.

Four shirts, $25 to $65, sized S through XXL. These take Lissette the longest of anything in the shop, which is why there are four of them and not fourteen.

They close with Velcro along the front rather than pulling over the head. That one decision is the difference between a shirt a dog tolerates and a shirt that never comes out of the drawer, and it is why these are sized from the chest instead of the neck.

The jacquard shirt is the formal one and shares its bolt with the cape, the beret and the tuxedo bandana. The soft denim and floral shirts are everyday pieces, and the palm tree shirt is what is left of a summer bolt.

Common questions

How do I measure my dog for a shirt?
Measure the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Shirts are sized from the chest, not the neck, because that is the measurement that decides whether the Velcro closes comfortably.
Can my dog wear a shirt and a bandana together?
Yes, and if they come from the same fabric family they are cut from the same bolt. The jacquard shirt and the jacquard tuxedo bandana are the most common pairing.
